About the artist
Ashka Lowman is a contemporary figurative artist whose subjects are generally women elegantly portrayed within various moments of colour and light. She uses acrylic, oil, pastels and mixed media to design and create unique wall art for people's homes and business decors.
Ashka's creations are developed from her home studio in the south of England with each unique artwork influenced by her travels and life experience.
After her graduation from Wroclaw School of Art in Poland, she started travelling abroad and immersed herself in new and exciting environments, enjoying a splash of colour from the Caribbean and the elegant movement and passionate spirit of Latin America.
She started to share these experiences with others in the best way she knew how, through her art, and after getting married in 2004 she settled in England, the source of so much of her inspiration.
Ashka has enjoyed particular success painting women within differing environments of colour, light and texture with each image portraying, through her brush strokes, the varying complexities and sensitivities for various thoughtful moments of a woman's life.
Ashka's own emotional strength and positive zest for life, which is so clearly present in the calming yet colourful imagery she creates, is born not only from the love and security she enjoys from her wonderful son and husband, but also from having the courage of never giving up and coming out the other side of probably the most painful experience any parent can endure.
Art has played a big part in not only her professional life but also in her positive expressive view of how beautiful life can be.
Ashka is now an internationally recognised, published artist working with Saatchi Art, Pyramid International, The Art Group and Image by Design.
She creates an atmosphere for the onlooker to be part of and experience through the curiosity of their own imagination, concentrating on a woman's beauty, her elegance, her mystery and even her naked innocence, perhaps for that one moment, caught in time for us all to share.
